CAREER EXPLORation for Middle School -

Each January, students from area school districts may participate in this middle school, career day event via Zoom. Nex-Generation coordinates with I-CAN (Interactive Consortium Academic Network) in sponsoring this event.

CAREER FAIR for High School -

Area high school students may participate in our annual, Career Fair event, where they will hear from multiple area business professionals on business, medical, and technical careers.

This popular event helps students consider the types of career options that are available in northwest and north central Kansas, and provides local businesses a forum to showcase themselves to the students. Nex-Generation coordinates with I-CAN (Interactive Consortium Academic Network) in sponsoring this event.

High School Career Fair 2024 Schedule:

  • CampBiz -   Nov. 6th

  • CampMed - Nov. 13th

  • CampTech - Nov. 20th

NEX-GENERATION STUDENT INTERNSHIP

LEADERSHIP & GRADUATION DAYS -

Nex-Gen interns attend a Leadership Day during the summer at one of three locations where they network with other interns, participate in teambuilding exercises, hear from community leaders, and more!

At the conclusion of their summer program, interns are required to give a presentation about their experience to an audience such as business staff, a board or committee, or a community organization. This is a valuable opportunity to showcase their work to the community while honing presentation skills. They are encouraged to organize a 'community event' to share their presentations with family, friends, local businesses, and other community members.

*Please ensure these presentations are recorded and sent to Chantelle to fulfill the presentation requirement.*
